Exclusive Interview with
Graeme Mykal
Meet Graeme Mykal, one of the UK's top Magical Entertainers. He has been working his unique style of close up and Cabaret Magic now for over 17 years and has worked the length and breadth of the UK for some top corporate clients including Unilever, Vodafone, Hilton, HSBC, Pfizer and Ted Baker.
Not limiting himself to simply corporate work, Graeme has performed at hundreds of private parties and weddings.
In an exclusive interview last week, we asked Graeme a few probing questions about his Magic:-
Q. How long have you been performing your Magic now?
A. For over 17 years now (am I really that old?)
Q. What do you pride yourself on?
A. Being able to leave a lasting memory in the minds of all who are entertained by me.
Q. Are you a member of any Magic Clubs or societies?
A. Oh yes. I am a proud member of the prestigious Magic Circle and a past president of The Medway Magical Society in Kent.
Q. What do you feel is the most important thing about your job?
A. Without a doubt it's all about entertainment. That is my aim and I always achieve it. Magic is Total Entertainment!
Q. What do you aspire to be?
A. ME! I can only ever be myself, so I guess I simply want to be the best I can be.
Q. What first gave you a taste for Magic?
A. I have always loved Magic. I was brought up with The "Paul Daniels Magic Show" on TV every Saturday. Then I started buying Magic Tricks and it all went from there. Magic is and always will be a passion to me.
Q. What sort of events do you work at?
A. Any to be honest with you. I have performed at Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Product Launches and Trade Shows just to mention a few. Wherever there are people, I can entertain them.
Q. Do you perform Cabaret shows as well as the Close Up Magic?
A. Yes I do. I sometimes incorporate a short stand up Magic spot at the end of a close up gig, but in answer to your question, yes I can provide a 45min stand up act if required.
